Michele Mueser

Michele Mueser is Senior Director of Data Engineering Services at UPMC Enterprises. Michele joined UPMC in 2005 and has successfully led various data analysis, integration, and engineering teams in both technology- and application-facing roles. In 2017, Michele joined UPMC Enterprises to establish a best-in-class data centric strategy that leverages the Data Engineering team’s 100+ years of healthcare data subject matter expertise.

Michele is responsible for creating the strategy and direction for all things data at UPMC Enterprises, including the Data Engineering and Data Analytics and Informatics teams and provides technical services and support to internal stakeholders, portfolio companies and external customers.

Michele and the data teams have tackled many data challenges including data advisory and exploratory services, end-to-end integration pipeline implementation services, and data insights and analysis summaries while also ensuring that they stay current with industry trends, trainings, and certifications in HL7, AWS, and Epic.

Michele earned her master’s degree in Information Science from the University of Pittsburgh and is HL7 certified.
