Angélica Herrera, PhD

Angélica Herrera, PhD, is an associate on the Strategic Product Management team within Digital Solutions, where she conducts analysis and diligence to inform UPMC Enterprise’s investment strategy and advance digital health innovation. Her work aligns scientific opportunity with strategic growth to drive meaningful patient impact.

Before joining UPMC Enterprises, Dr. Herrera gained experience translating research into functional technologies, providing a foundation for her work in strategic product management and digital health strategy. She led product development at Reach Neuro, a University of Pittsburgh spin-out restoring arm and hand movement for individuals living with chronic stroke, and earlier contributed to the development of electromyography wristbands for AR/VR control as an intern at Meta Reality Labs.

Dr. Herrera holds a BS in biomedical engineering from the Johns Hopkins University and a PhD in bioengineering from the University of Pittsburgh.
