KLAS Digital Health Investment Symposium (DHIS) 2026 | Sept. 1-2 | Park City, UT 

KLAS DHIS 2026 brings together leaders from the health care provider, IT, and investment communities for an intimate executive retreat focused on the future of healthcare innovation. 

This year’s theme, “Precision at Scale,” focuses  on how organizations can strategically invest time, resources, and capital to accelerate transformation through AI, automation, and other emerging technologies.  

UPMC will be represented by Rob Bart, MD, chief medical information officer, speaking on the panel “Precision Under Pressure.”

CMU Startup Week 2026 | Sept. 14-18 | Pittsburgh, PA

CMU Startup Week 2026 is Carnegie Mellon University’s annual celebration of entrepreneurship, innovation, and frontier technology, hosted by CMU’s Swartz Center for Entrepreneurship. As part of the broader StartUP PGH initiative, the event highlights Pittsburgh’s growing role as a national hub for research-driven innovation and startup growth.

UPMC Enterprises will be represented at CMU Startup Week by Matthias Kleinz, executive vice president, and Philip Jones, PhD, vice president of science & discovery.

Enterprises portfolio companies Avista Therapeutics, BlueSphere Bio, Novasenta, sovaSage, and Astrata will also be in attendance.

Top of Mind Summit | Sept. 28-29 | Pittsburgh, PA

Since 2017, UPMC Enterprises has hosted its annual Top of Mind Summit as an exclusive, invitation-only conference for C-suite health care leaders, investors, and industry innovators to explore the future of digital health and life sciences.

The in-person experience facilitates high-value networking, thought-provoking dialogue, and real-world perspectives from a variety of industry experts.

Women’s Health Innovation Summit (WHIS) 2026 | Oct. 13-15 | Boston, MA

The annual Women’s Health Innovation Summit (WHIS) brings together more than 1,000 leaders from across the ecosystem to explore strategies for improving outcomes, expanding access, accelerating investment, and scaling innovation in areas such as AI-enabled care, digital health, diagnostics, therapeutics, and care delivery models.

UPMC and UPMC Enterprises will be represented at this year’s summit by Kathryn Heffernan, senior director, strategic product management, UPMC Enterprises; Annmarie Lyons, vice president of women’s health, UPMC; and Hyagriv Simhan, director of patient care delivery innovation and technology, UPMC.

They will be joined by Jannine Versi, CEO and co-founder, Elektra Health, and Anna Mamo, director, UPMC Enterprises; in discussions focused on advancing technology, care models, and strategic partnerships that improve health outcomes for women across every stage of life.

Pittsburgh Business Times Future of Health Care | Oct. 28-29 | Pittsburgh, PA

The Pittsburgh Business Times Future of Health Care event focuses on emerging health care technologies, workforce challenges, digital transformation, benefits strategy, and innovative approaches to improving patient outcomes while managing costs.

As one of the region’s key health care leadership forums, the event provides an opportunity for industry experts to share insights and discuss the opportunities and challenges facing healthcare organizations in an evolving landscape.

Joel Yuhas, executive vice president of UPMC Health Services Division, will provide keynote remarks and then join in a discussion on “The AI Advantage in Health Care: Empowering Better Outcomes, Lower Costs, Stronger Value.” Fellow panelists include Deepan Kamaraj, MD, PhD, director, data analytics and informatics, UPMC Enterprises; Reuben Daniel, associate vice president of AI, UPMC Health Plan; Jake Baker, vice president of operations technology, UPMC Health Plan; and Ellen Beckjord, PhD, MPH, vice president, of clinical strategy and program optimization, UPMC Health Plan as the moderator.

Longwood Healthcare Leaders Boston CEO 2026 | Nov. 2-3 | Boston, MA 

Longwood Healthcare Leaders Boston CEO 2026 is an invitation-only gathering that convenes leading biopharma CEOs, R&D executives, life sciences investors, and academic researchers for discussions on the future of health care and biotechnology.  

The event explores key topics shaping the life sciences industry, including drug development, research strategy, commercialization, investment, business development, and strategic partnerships.  

Jeanne Cunicelli, president, UPMC Enterprises, will speak on the “Ecosystem of External Innovation” panel on Monday, Nov. 2, alongside leaders from Mass General Brigham and Cullinan Therapeutics. 

Fabian Tenenbaum, executive vice president, UPMC Enterprises will also be onsite and participate in collaborative discussions about innovation at scale and how health systems can become platforms for transformation.

Pittsburgh Technology Council Breakfast Briefing | Nov. 12 | Pittsburgh, PA 

The Pittsburgh Technology Council’s Breakfast Briefing series is a longstanding forum that brings together business, technology, and innovation leaders to discuss the trends and opportunities shaping the region’s economy.  

At this November’s meeting, UPMC Enterprises President Jeanne Cunicelli will be in conversation with Pittsburgh Technology Council President and CEO Audrey Russo to highlight innovations emerging from the UPMC ecosystem and how Pittsburgh is driving the future of health care and technology.
