Our lineup of event engagements in the first quarter of 2026 highlights a clear theme: UPMC Enterprises experts are influencing the conversations that will define key moments in the future of health care — particularly in areas where clinical excellence, data, AI, and patient-centered innovation converge.

2026 Digital Health Summit | Jan. 29 – 30, Pittsburgh, PA

At the 2026 Digital Health Summit, Fawad Butt, CEO of Penguin Ai, a UPMC Enterprises portfolio company, served as a keynote speaker of the event and joined Rob Bart, MD, CMIO of UPMC, on a panel addressing the tie between AI and precision medicine. Chris Carmody, CTO, UPMC, also presented as part of the “local innovation” spotlight series. 


SCOPE Summit | Feb. 2-5, Orlando, FL 

Andrew Adrian-Karlin, director of Technology Services Pipeline Development, attended on behalf of UPMC Enterprises to connect with industry peers and share updates on the Ahavi real‑world data platform and related partnership opportunities. 


3 Rivers Venture Fair (3RVF) | Feb. 4 – 5, Pittsburgh, PA 

Deepan Kamaraj, MD, PhD, director of Data Analytics and Informatics at UPMC Enterprises, spoke on a panel titled “Data Privacy & AI Governance Polices – What to Expect When You Go to Market” at 3RVF, a Pittsburgh-based venture capital event connecting high-growth startups with investors, corporate partners, and innovation leaders. UPMC Enterprises served as an official sponsor at the event.


Life Sciences PA “Being a Life Sciences Leader” Podcast | Feb. 4

We’re proud to share that Jeanne Cunicelli, executive vice president at UPMC and president of UPMC Enterprises, was recently featured on the “Being a Life Sciences Leader” podcast from Life Sciences Pennsylvania. Anna Mamo, director, Translational Sciences, will join a virtual roundtable discussion hosted by Women’s Health Access Matters (WHAM), on Thursday, Feb. 19, at 1 p.m. EST. In recognition of National American Heart Month, the discussion will focus on the challenges and opportunities within women’s cardiovascular health.

UPMC and UPMC Enterprises will also maintain a strong presence at ViVE 2026, with David Okonkwo, MD, PhD, executive vice president of UPMC Enterprises, speaking on a panel titled “Clinical Trials Without the Wait, Waste & Wonder,” and Rob Bart, MD, CMIO of UPMC, participating in a panel session titled “EHR Maturity Moment.”

Women in Bio (WIB) Pittsburgh Life Sciences Resource Fair | Feb. 26, Pittsburgh, PA

Mary Beth Navarra-Sirio, vice president, Market Development, is a featured speaker at the Women in Bio (WIB) Pittsburgh Life Sciences Resource Fair on Thursday, Feb. 26, from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Hosted by Executive Women In Bio (EWIB), LifeX, and InnovatePGH, Mary Beth’s presentation will focus on “putting together your innovation dream team, how choosing the right partners accelerates progress.”


Deepan Kamaraj, MD, PhD, director of Data Analytics and Informatics at UPMC Enterprises, will be part of a panel titled “Entrepreneurship in the Health and AI Space,” alongside Megan Shaw, president and CEO of the Pittsburgh Life Sciences Association, and other prominent colleagues for a discussion focused on innovation pathways, commercialization challenges, and opportunities emerging at the intersection of AI and health care.


Precision Medicine World Conference (PMWC) | Mar. 4 – 6, Santa Clara, CA  

Adrian Lee, PhD, senior advisor to UPMC Enterprises, and the director of the Institute for Precision Medicine, a joint effort by UPMC and the University of Pittsburgh, will serve as the Track Chair for the Liquid Biopsy – Therapy Guidance & Monitoring track, a notable leadership position for UPMC within a major national precision medicine forum.
