Curavi Health’s commercialization journey, and more portfolio company news

Curavi, Ovation, Vivify, and Fabric Genomics were all in the news in the past month.

Curavi Health was recently featured in a Healthcare Finance story. The in-depth article illustrates how Curavi first came to be, highlights the company’s innovative technology, and includes specific results from use at UPMC facilities.


On October 2, Waystar announced that it will acquire the transaction services technology business of Ovation Revenue Cycle Services. The technology will be integrated into Waystar’s platform, “giving unprecedented claims visibility to nearly 500,000 health care providers.”


A recent report published by KLAS showed that Vivify Health was the most often discussed remote patient monitoring (RPM) vendor by health care providers. The report was “based on interviews with 25 organizations using seven leading RPM vendor platforms.” Vivify was praised for its collaboration with health care organizations, customization, and its dedication to providing superior customer service.


The Dallas Business Journal published a follow up to its NTX Disruptor series focused on data and innovation in health care. The story quotes Vivify Health CEO and Founder Eric Rock regarding the value of data. Rock notes that “there is value in collecting large amounts of health care data,” but that “massive innovation is needed to improve early detection of cancers and other health problems through continuous monitoring.”


Hospitals and labs will now be able to maximize their diagnostic yield and optimize turnaround time thanks to the recent partnership of Fabric Genomics and Genomen. Together, researchers will be able to leverage both Fabric’s “algorithmic genomic analysis and Genomen’s literature search to identify clinically actionable variants that can provide a clear patient diagnosis.”


Fabric Genomics is providing customers with the most current reference genome assembly for their clinical genetic testing efforts with the release of ‘Build 38.’ The latest release repairs incorrect assemblies from the previous Build, allowing researchers “to remove well-known errors that hinder automated clinical workflows, and gain access to areas of the genome that has been virtually unknown before.”


Prodigo and its solution, Prodigo Marketplace, were featuring in the latest issue of Healthcare Purchasing News surrounding cost-saving efforts at Boston Children’s Hospital. The hospital was a 2018 Supply Chain Department of the Year honorable mentioned that leveraged Prodigo to help with value tracking, as well as its research purchase needs.
