2023 Employee Health and COVID-19 Return-to-Work Program Updates
UPMC will continue to provide COVID-19 quarantine coverage benefit, covering 5 quarantine days for staff per calendar year. Any additional time off due to COVID-19 sickness beyond those 5 days will come from the employee’s PTO or from STD if applicable. Employees who have not recovered within 10 days of sickness should consult with Employee Health and Workpartners to see if short-term disability benefits can be utilized.
UPMC will also continue to cover up to 2 missed working days due to illness after receiving a COVID-19 vaccine or booster.
