UPMC Enterprises sponsors Health 2.0

UPMC Enterprises is sponsoring the Health 2.0 Conference, which will be held Sept. 16-18 in Santa Clara, Calif.

The event, which showcases and catalyzes new technologies in health care, will feature presentations by Rasu Shrestha, MD, MBA, Chief Innovation Officer of UPMC and Executive Vice President of UPMC Enterprises, and Health Fidelity.

Dr. Shrestha will be delivering a keynote, participating in a panel discussion and teaming up with Health Fidelity for a Lunch and Learn presentation.

Apple’s foray into health records rallied the likes of Epic, Cerner, Allscripts, and athenahealth to build a network of data integration. Meanwhile the ONC has doubled down on data sharing. This renewed energy has many people wondering if 2018 is the year we finally reach a standard of interoperability that meets the collective needs of patients, policy-makers, and clinical decision-makers. In this panel discussion, Dr. Shrestha and panelists will explore the transition into cloud-based networks, answer the question “who controls the data?” and discuss how we got here and where we’re going.

Lunch and Learn Session with UPMC and Health Fidelity

This session will tell the story of how UPMC and Health Fidelity are taking new and innovative approaches to health care by working together to help providers more accurately capture risk through innovative technologies. The lunch and learn will feature a fireside chat between Dr. Shrestha and members of the Health Fidelity team.
