During their time at UPMC Enterprises over the next few months, our six Summer Associates will contribute to our mission by helping develop solutions to health care’s top challenges.

Niharika Jain
Area of work: Alexandria Charts
Hometown: Dehli, India
School and area of study: Illinois Institute of Technology, Master’s in computer science
Why did you choose to work at UPMC Enterprises? I always wanted to be a part of an organization that is working on the modern technology stack with the possibility of future employment. I chose to work at Enterprises because it aligns with my aspirations very closely.
Fun fact about yourself: I am an avid nature lover and like hiking.
Favorite activity outside of work: I love spending time with friends and family.
Benjamin Naovarat
Area of work: Translational Sciences
Hometown: Austin, TX
School and area of study: University of Michigan Ross School of Business MBA Candidate
Why did you choose to work at UPMC Enterprises: The ability to leverage my medical background to push scientific innovation as well as the opportunity to work with such a passionate and driven team.
Fun fact about yourself: I was a hot wing eating contest champ back in Austin, TX. The place where I won the competition still has my picture there today!
Favorite activity outside of work: Chasing USA Powerlifting records and convincing friends and family to watch documentaries with me.
Kshitij Pandya
Area of work: Digital Solutions
Hometown: Originally from Nadiad, Gujarat, India, but like to call Atlanta, GA, my second home.
School and area of study: Carnegie Mellon University’s Tepper School of Business – MS in Product Management
Why did you choose to work at UPMC Enterprises? To experience innovation and entrepreneurship in the health care space.
Fun fact about yourself: I like to journal my week as poetry.
Favorite activity outside of work: Playing ping pong.
Abigail Rohman
Area of work: Digital Solutions
Hometown: Larchmont, NY
School and area of study: MBA Candidate at Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth
Why did you choose to work at UPMC Enterprises? I am interested in the variety of work at UPMC; from partnering to growing, to investing, etc., all while leveraging the expertise and infrastructure within the UPMC system.
Fun fact about yourself: I have signed books from Madeleine Albright, Sonia Sotomayor, and Gloria Steinem.
Favorite activity outside of work: Road biking, sailing, and skiing!
Tomasina Sciaretta
Area of work: Marketing
Hometown: Center Township, PA
School and area of study: Robert Morris University working towards my BSBA with a concentration in Marketing and earning two certificates in Sales and Entrepreneurship and Innovation.
Why did you choose to work at UPMC Enterprises? I chose to be an intern at UPMC Enterprises because of the experience and knowledge I am going to gain. The passion my colleagues have shown thus far, not only for their work, but also for the overall company and portfolio companies is quite inspiring.
Fun fact about yourself: I love coffee! I drink an average of 3-4 cups of coffee a day.
Favorite activity outside of work: I enjoy golfing and going on runs/walks outdoors.
Glenna Tremblay-Taylor

Hometown: Amherst, NH
School and area of study: Carnegie Mellon University, Master’s degree for Software Engineering – Scalable Systems
Why did you choose to work at UPMC Enterprises? I knew I wanted to be part of an industry and company that has a clear, direct impact on society. Health care is one of the most meaningful industries and I had a very positive impression as a patient of UPMC already, so UPMC Enterprises was a natural choice.
Fun fact about yourself: I am an identical twin and since I was born first, I get to say my twin is my little sister!
Favorite activity outside of work: Reading. I enjoy all genres, but Science Fiction is my favorite.
