International Women’s Day (IWD) is one of the most important days of the year to celebrate women’s achievements, raise awareness about women’s equality, and lobby for accelerated gender parity.
This year’s theme, “Choose to Challenge,” is focused on challenging the status quo. By ‘choosing to challenge,’ we are fighting against bias and gender stereotypes while working toward creating a more inclusive world.
UPMC Enterprises is proud to have talented women across the organization, at all levels of leadership, who choose to challenge the status quo day in and day out.
Jeanne Cunicelli, President of UPMC Enterprises, was recently interviewed by the Pittsburgh Tech Council on their daily show, “Business As Usual”, where she discusses life in Pittsburgh, UPMC Enterprises’ commitment to investing $1 billion in life sciences, and the future of digital health care in the world of COVID. Listen to the podcast here.
Join in the discussion today using #IWD2021 or dress up by wearing purple, green, or white—the colors of International Women’s Day.
