UPMC Enterprises signed on to sponsor INTERSECT@CMU, a virtual conference series focusing on the pandemic’s long-term global effects on four foundational elements of society: health, sustainability, the economy, and education. Sessions will take place each Friday through October 2.
Dr. Diego Chaves-Gnecco of UPMC spoke on the opening panel on Friday, September 11. The panel discussion focused on how health care systems are coping with the pandemic and what actions should be taken to prepare for future public health emergencies. A recording of the discussion will be available at the conclusion of the conference.
If you’re interested in virtually attending any remaining sessions, you can register here. There is no fee to attend the conference.
