Q: Are you a Pittsburgh local, or did you grow up elsewhere?
I have lived in a couple of places before coming to Pittsburgh. I was born in South Korea, lived in Indonesia for a bit, was mostly raised in Southern California (OC!), and did my undergrad in the Bay Area! I came to Pittsburgh to pursue a master’s degree in Healthcare Analytics at Heinz College, CMU. I am super excited to explore the east!
Q: Do you have any pets?
I don’t, but my brother has the most adorable orange cat named Ollie!
Q: What made you interested in the healthcare industry?
To be honest, I don’t recall a specific time or event; it was rather a gradual interest. It first started when I volunteered at a local nursing home, then a local hospital, then a literature review project on public health, and then an interesting course in college (Plagues and Pandemics), followed by a world pandemic. All these coincidental incidences sparked my interest in healthcare!

Q: Are you a Pittsburgh local or did you grow up elsewhere?
I grew up in Gettysburg, PA, and just moved to Pittsburgh this summer.
Q: Where in the world would you like to visit someday?
Someday I want to go to The Bahamas for the white sand beaches and clear water.
Q: Do you have an unusual talent or hobby?
Not unusual, but I love to saltwater fish. I bring my fishing rod every time I go to the beach!
