Leadership Development Training

2023 Annual Mandatories – Available in Learning Friday, Sept. 1, through Tuesday, Oct. 31

• UPMC is responsible for ensuring all staff, students, and volunteers who work in any capacity at a UPMC facility complete mandatory education to be compliant with regulatory bodies, such as the Department of Health and The Joint Commission.
• Complete Annual Mandatory courses in the Learning tab of HR Direct.

Military Status Self-Identification​

• In preparation for Veterans Day, we want to ensure we recognize and honor our employees for their military service, both past and present.​
• For self-identified veterans to be recognized and participate in Veterans Day activities, they must check the last box in Demographic Info in HR Direct for their status to be disclosed to UPMC for recognition: HR Direct > Personal Information > Personal Details > Demographic Information​​
• If any of your staff are a veteran or active reservist, encourage them to report their military service by self-identifying in HR Direct. They can search “veteran” on Infonet, click Report Your Military Status, and update the Demographic Info section to self-identify as veteran or active reserve.
