RxAnte announces patent issuance for RxEffect, and more portfolio news

Several portfolio companies, including RxAnte, 3Scan, Health Fidelity, and Health Catalyst were featured in the news in the past month.

3Scan was awarded a Phase I Small Business Innovation Research grant from the National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Disease. The grant will be used to help the company explore kidney anatomy in an effort to “better understand renal function and disease.”


RxAnte was issued a patent for the development of its RxEffect workflow solution. The product is “designed to improve patient medication use on behalf of health plans and care providers.” It is currently deployed by three national health plans and used by more than 2,000 care managers and physician staff.

Information Week published its list of cloud vendors on the rise in 2019. Included in that list is portfolio company, Health Catalyst. The company was mentioned alongside others, including IBM, Microsoft, and Google Cloud, for its data warehousing and intelligence solution.

Health Fidelity CEO Steve Whitehurst recently penned a piece for Healthcare Analytics News titled, “Tips for Evaluating Healthcare Technology.” In the piece, he discusses what an organization should look for when attempting to evaluate partners to help ensure they make the best decision for their immediate needs while also keeping an eye to the future.


Vivify Health has been selected by Windsor Place At-Home Care to deliver remote patient monitoring services to patients across the state of Kansas. Vivify will enable nurse care managers and coordinator teams to support more than 200 patients with a focus on delivering good outcomes.

Evolent Health and SOMOS IPA have announced that Evolent will support the company’s network as a value-based payment innovator in the New York State Department of Health’s Innovator program. The program is designed to “encourage and reward early adoption of value-based payment arrangements, supporting groups who have invested in moving toward population health management.”
