Office Tips: Kitchens + Supplies

Whether you’re a new hire or a long-term employee, read this monthly FAQ to receive helpful tips and information related to UPMC Enterprises.

Kitchens

  • Our suite has three full kitchen areas and one guest kitchen area
  • Free snacks (including misc. fruit and granola bars) are available on the kitchen counters
  • Everyone is expected to do their part to maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of the kitchens. Housekeeping performs a general wipe-down of kitchen counters, cabinets, and islands but is not responsible for dishwashing
  • Items should be washed, dried, and put away immediately after use, or placed into the dishwashers for cleaning
  • Dishwashers should be run when full and when found full of dry dishes, emptied out and items put away appropriately
  • Regular dish detergent is available for hand washing at each sink location with backup quantities underneath each sink
  • Replacement water filters for refrigerators can be found in each kitchen in one of the drawers should you find one needing to be changed
  • Any issues with the coffee makers or other appliances should be reported to Kim Adams who can reach out to our vendors for servicing
  • Refrigerators are cleaned out on the last Wednesday of every month
    • All unmarked (no name) and undated items that are expired will get thrown away so be sure to manage the items you place inside

Supplies

  • Office supplies can be found in the Open Print Room (lobby print room) located behind the reception desk wall
  • Any needs beyond what can be found in the Open Print Room can be requested from Kim Adams who works at the reception desk
