From its origins as a way for UPMC and University of Pittsburgh to pay clinical trial subjects, Vincent Payment Solutions is receiving national attention for its innovative approach as a next generation software solution for the compensation of medical study participants.
Less than a year after its launch from UPMC Enterprises, Vincent’s benefits are being recognized with webinar appearances and speaking invitations. The company recently hosted “How Can I Pay Thee? Let Me Count the Ways,” a webinar sponsored by Professional Development Group (PDG), a higher education professional organization.
On the PDG webinar held May 15, Vincent President, Beth Dubyak, discussed various payment options and best practices for each, including cash, checks, gift cards, and reloadable debit cards. Dubyak dove into the variety of factors that impact a company’s obligations to make payments and shared her expertise to help the audience determine what options offer the most flexibility and efficiency for their organization. The session concluded with a series of curious questions from attendees.
“The payments sector is dynamic and ever changing,” Dubyak said. “Having the opportunity to share best practices with universities strengthens our position as a knowledgeable and trusted resource.”
The webinar opportunity came about after Vincent Business Development Lead, Mary Kearney, received an encouraging vote of confidence from the industry when she attended a recent PDG conference. Due to Kearney’s networking and conversations with conference attendees, Vincent’s benefits quickly made the rounds and resulted in the invitation to host an educational webinar.
Similarly, after the PDG webinar, Dubyak was invited to speak at PDG’s national conference in Arizona next spring, and also invited to lead future PDG webinars.
