Have a health-related question? New Employee Health virtual assistant can help

UPMC Enterprises was part of a team that developed the latest innovation to ensure staff can get the answers they need.

UPMC has launched a virtual assistant to help employees get the answers they need quickly and conveniently.

The Employee Health virtual assistant can advise on next steps when staff are feeling unwell, worried about a possible COVID-19 exposure, or have other employee health related questions.

The assistant can be used to provide guidance on:

  • Identifying respiratory symptoms that warrant clinical evaluation and possible testing (COVID-19 or flu)
  • Reporting possible COVID-19 exposures
  • Quarantine and return-to-work procedures
  • General employee health related questions

The assistant will:

  • Ask questions about an illness or situation.
  • Help staff determine next steps for their care, including whether they should schedule a virtual appointment, call Employee Health, or talk to their manager.
  • Direct staff to information on Infonet based on specific needs.

Developed through a unique partnership between Employee Health, Human Resources, IT, and UPMC Enterprises, the virtual assistant is an innovation that empowers UPMC to work smarter, not harder.

To use the assistant, search “virtual assistant” on Infonet or visit the COVID-19 landing page.
