How did you get into the industry? Back in the early to mid-80s (before web apps were a thing), software vendors often distributed source code to their customers as well as the compiled versions of their applications. I was working for a rental property agency at the time as their accounting manager. I found myself exploring the code of our rental management application and helping the software vendor find and fix bugs. I was hooked.
Are you a Pittsburgh local or did you grow up elsewhere? My family (Mom, Dad, Aunts, Uncles) are all Pittsburgh natives. However, my parents moved to a suburb west of Cleveland, OH when I was very young and that is where I grew up. I also found my high-school sweetheart, love of my life and wife of 37 years there. I returned to Pittsburgh and have been here for over 30 years.
Do you have any kids? Any pets? We have two sons (grown and married) and two precious granddaughters and two wonderful grand dogs.
What’s your favorite quote from a movie or TV series? “There’s No Place Like Home” – The Wizard of Oz.
What’s your least favorite word? Tech Debt.
Do you have an unusual talent or hobby? Antiques and Collectibles.

Do you have any kids? Any pets? I have a son named Jack and a dog named Josie. Josie is definitely my worst behaved child.
Do you have an unusual talent or hobby? I have a small photography business.
What’s in your perfect meal? Chocolate (especially Hershey Kisses).

Do you have an unusual talent or hobby? Barefoot waterskiing since I was 13.
