Twice a month, we invite our furry friends to work alongside us at Bakery Square. Be sure to check back to meet more Featured Pets of UPMC Enterprises.

Name: Linda

Breed: Golden Retriever

Age: 9

Role at UPMC Enterprises: Associate Paw-gram Manager

Favorite Toy: As an everyday toy, I love a good tennis ball! They’re just so versatile and easy to keep around.

My very favorite toys are stuffed animals. My family gives me a new one for Christmas every year. They record a special message for me and put it in the paw! I have so much fun pressing the paw and hearing my family talk to me…I do that over and over again…until my Golden Retriever brother, Lexie, steals it. He steals all my stuffed animals, even though he has his own! Ugh. That’s why I try to tell myself I love tennis balls.

Favorite Activity: I have so many favorite activities! When I was younger, I loved running with my sister, Emily! Now that I’m in my “golden years”, I settle for walks and I insist on carrying my own leash – I always have. I also love treating myself to my absolute favorite human food – vanilla fro-yo – and getting groomed. You know what they say – look good, feel good! Everyone loves to pet me after I get groomed and it’s the BEST!

Favorite part about coming to the offices: I love getting to spend the whole day with Emily, an Associate Program Manager – like me! I try to help her as much as I can…until I get tired and need to nap. Working at UPMC Enterprises is my favorite (and only) job – everyone is incredibly smart and friendly! I always look forward to coming to the office because I get to make new friends, eat lots of cookies, sit-in on meetings, and try to boost team morale. Also, I can’t forget to mention that I met my boyfriend, Hank, at work! He’s so handsome and professional – he always wears a tie!

Fun Fact/Best trick: A fun fact is that before I met my family, my name was Pearl – now I wear a pearl necklace every day and it’s my signature accessory!

My best trick is something I call “giving people the paw” – I sit down and put my paw out for people to hold, almost like a handshake. I am definitely a people person (err, dog) and that’s my way favorite way to try to connect with everyone! 🙂
